The Link Between Glyphosate And Cancer
In 2015, the World Health Organization (WHO) conducted research on glyphosate and concluded that it is “probably” a human carcinogen. The connection between this chemical and cancer, however, is not a new one — back in 1985, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) warned users that glyphosate could possibly be a carcinogen after experiments with the chemical showed tumor growths in rodents. Despite this alarming research, a reinterpretation by the EPA (after input from Monsanto) led to the reclassification of glyphosate as a safe, noncarcinogenic chemical in 1991.
