Over the past two decades, NYC personal injury attorney Bonnie Steinwolf has developed a distinguished reputation as an experienced civil litigator who concentrates her practice on representing those who have been seriously injured. Nothing gives her greater satisfaction than righting a wrong, so fighting for justice on behalf of her clients is something she looks forward to doing each and every day.
Bonnie focuses in the areas of personal injury, products liability, premises liability, and toxic torts. She has represented hundreds of people injured by another party’s negligence or wrongdoing. She has special expertise in representing victims of asbestos exposures who ended up with either lung cancer or mesothelioma. More recently, Bonnie was instrumental in the successful resolution of cases against suppliers and manufacturers of asbestos-containing talcum powder products which resulted in multi-million dollar settlements for the women who used these unsafe products.
Bonnie recently opened Meirowitz & Wasserberg’s Long Island office and is excited at the prospect of bringing the experience and expertise of our firm to both Nassau and Suffolk counties. Bonnie recognized that our clients who were injured or sick needed the convenience of having an attorney nearby, so she now proudly serves our Long Island clientele right in their backyard. As a Long Island native and member of the Suffolk County Bar, Bonnie is thrilled to bring her work back home.
Bonnie’s knowledge and experience have proven to be invaluable to her clients. Not only does she bring expertise and skill to a case, but she also has genuine warmth and compassion for sick and injured people. Her clients are more than just names that she represents, during the process of handling their case they become like family. Bonnie believes that the relationship she has with her clients is paramount to success.
Prior to joining Meirowitz & Wasserberg, Bonnie spent her career at two highly regarded plaintiff’s firms in New York City.
Bonnie received her Juris Doctor’s degree from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in 1998, where she was chosen to be an Associate Editor of the Hofstra Labor and Employment Law Journal. Prior to entering law school, Bonnie received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the State University of New York at Albany, where she graduated summa cum laude and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
Bonnie lives on Long Island with her husband, two children, and beloved dog.
